Westminster Forklift Parts - The city of Westminster, Colorado is located in Jefferson County and Adams County. It is considered a Denver suburb since it is just 9 miles south-southwest of the city of Denver. As of April 1, the year 2010, the population is projected to be 106,114, making it the state's 7th most populous city and the country's 237th most populated city. Westminster is a member of the Denver-Aurora-Broomfield, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Denver-Aurora-Boulder Combined Statistical Area. People began to settle within the Westminster area after the discovery of gold on Little Dry Creek in 1858. When the Homestead Act of 1862 was enacted some settlers from the east arrived, further strengthening the small community. Pleasant DeSpain was the first permanent settler within Westminster. He built his very own house on 160 acres of farmland in 1870. As time wore on, the region became known as DeSpain Junction. Shortly after DeSpain built his own home, other settlers began to follow suit. Amongst the most prominent was Edward Bruce Bowles, who was a horse breeder. His large brick residence still exists today and is being utilized as a local Museum. C.J. Harris was another early settler. He originated from Connecticut and was a famous real estate developer. Westminster was inspired to change it's name to Harris and, in the year 1911, Westminster City was incorporated. Nevertheless, when Westminster was incorporated it went through another name change to Westminster, to honor the local Westminster University.

Westminster prides itself on offering numerous historic, artistic and recreational activities. The Bowles House Museum provides a unique chance to turn back the clock and experience the way life was. It is located in a farmhouse constructed between the years 1871 to 1876. Individuals who are interested in butterflies and insects would be drawn to the city's Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center.
